For those in the know, when it comes to professional hard-wearing moulds, Nordicware have no equal, which is nice. What it means of course is that they've come up with the most intricate and detailed castle mould on the market. This makes it essential for kid's birthdays, but far more importantly we've discovered that because it's so well made, it has myriad uses for grown-ups.
We managed to make a stonking, pure, solid, Belgian Chocolate castle (which didn't last nearly as long as it should have done, and now we're all considerably fatter). Then we tried ice with equal success, and it's now official that a vodka jelly castle is a sure-fire recipe for a successful party. Whatever you're making (and pretty well anything seems to work first time), this mould will make your party rock whether it's your first birthday or your eightieth.

I've just received one of these for a wedding present - and we spent the entire day telling people we had been given a castle as a pressie! Took it on honeymoon with us - made cakes (yummy), jelly (drunken yummy), Angel Delight (didn't quite set - but gloopy yummy) but our utter favourite was filling it with water and making an ice sculpture which we filled with (cheap - and probably fake) caviar for our welcome back from honeymoon party! I now want another one!!

Wow! I made a chocolate castle like yours for my 21st Birthday Party - except it was pink! Everyone was soooooo impressed with it, and kept asking me how they could get one too. I have to say though, not all the guests managed to see it, as it was eaten before they all got there! Your staff were fab in helping me with the crazy things I kept asking them too! Can't wait for my next party, I might have an array of colours to really wow my guests!

I was given one of these for my birthday and have now made 4 cakes and ice castle! need to find something to do with the ice castle though....it looks pretty cool tho. Looking forward to the party at the weekend!

As soon as the mould came we had to make a lovely chocolate cake with it. The cake came out of the mould beautifully and the icing sugar really highlighted the design. The only problem was not using enough mixture which I will rectify next time. The cake went down a real treat everyone was amazed and thought it took much longer to make than it really did!!

I really really wanted one of these from the moment I saw it so when I realised I had to make a cake for a friend I bought it! I made a fantastic pink sponge for my friend! I put smarties in it to make it look like the brickwork was crumbling! For easter I'm going to make rocky road in it! I love it!
