Each shaker has a little rip-cord in its base, you just hold them over the food, pull the cord, and off they go, wobbling about, shaking themselves, and sprinkling your food with spice. Made from a superbly tactile soft silicone rubber, they're robust and more fun than salt and pepper shakers have any right to be.
